Family Promise Volunteer Training
Emmanuel Church has joined other churches and synagogues in Burbank to provide temporary housing and care for homeless families in the East San Fernando Valley through Family Promise of East San Fernando Valley. Emmanuel’s first opportunity to serve as a Host Congregation is July 4-11, 2010.
Volunteers (who have completed a required training session) are needed! Emmanuel will host Volunteer Training on Monday, June 21st from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the lower auditorium. Volunteers will meet the new Family Promise Network Director, Jaci White, as well as volunteers from our supporting church, American Lutheran. There are many different ways to help with this ministry so even if you are unsure what role you would like to volunteer for, come to the training and get more acquainted with this program.
