Emmanuel Church continues to pray regularly for those who are suffering in Haiti.
There are many Christian ministries who are providing relief in Haiti who can use financial support, including:
A Crown Financial Ministries program that teaches the principles of biblical stewardship will be offered on Monday evenings at church, from March 1 to May 3, 2010 at 7:00 – 9:00 PM. An informational meeting for those wanting to find out more about this life changing ministry will be held on Sunday, February 14 at 12:30 PM in the Green Room. The Women’s Thursday Morning Bible Study is currently meeting through May 27, 2010. The study is on “A Woman’s Heart: God’s Dwelling Place” by Beth Moore. Childcare is provided at a nominal fee by three wonderful women who want to minister to your children. The women’s Tuesday night Bible study is underway through the end of February 2010. This six-week study titled “God As Our Refuge” is being led by Debi Wooten. Click here for women’s ministry council contact information.
The next Women’s Retreat is on the weekend of March 19-21, 2010 at the beautiful Mandalay Beach resort in Oxnard. Balances are now due – payments can be dropped off at the church office. The Women’s Ministries at Emmanuel Church seeks to encourage and equip all women for service, ministry and every season of life. Our desire is to provide avenues for evangelism, spiritual growth, and relational support. Ministries include mentoring, discipleship, Bible studies and retreats.

Men’s Ministries are committed to providing meaningful opportunities for the men of Emmanuel Church and Burbank to get together and enjoy character-developing training, fellowship and recreation, all aimed at growing us to be more Christ-like men of God.

On the first Saturday of the month at 11 AM. Emmanuel Church provides a meal to the hungry through the Lord’s Kitchen Ministry. Church volunteers serve the guests an outstanding meal in a restaurant-style environment. Clothing and canned food are also available for the guests to take. Volunteers are always needed. Adult Christian Education (ACE) classes are offered every Sunday morning at 9:30 and 11:00 AM and provide a “place to belong” for singles and couples who want to meet and fellowship with others in similar life stages.
