My Lord And My God!
Belonging to God
the Son

Theme
As we pray this week, we are participating in the Story of God by owning Jesus as our Lord and our God.
Scriptures
John 20:26-28: A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Colossians 1:15-20: The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
Adoration
Lord Jesus, You are the image of God–when we see you, we see the Father! You created all things and hold all things together. Jesus, in everything, You have the supremacy, because God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in You.
Confession
Lord Jesus, at times we doubt that you are Lord over all. We admit that too often we worry and try to fix what’s wrong. We confess we forget that in everything you have supremacy.
Thanksgiving
Lord Jesus, thank you for bringing us peace and for reconciling us with the Father in Heaven, whether things on Earth or things in Heaven, through your blood shed on the cross.
Supplication
Lord Jesus, we ask you to help us remember that in everything you have supremacy. Give us the strength and the faith to stop doubting and believe.
