The Spirit In Us

Belonging to God

the Holy Spirit

Week of

July 5, 2026

Theme

As we pray this week, we are preserving in faith by acknowledging that if we are in Christ, we have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us

Scriptures

1 Corinthians 6:19-20: Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

John 3:3-8: Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

Adoration

Holy Spirit, we praise You for choosing to dwell within us and make us Your temple. Thank You for giving us new life through Christ and continually guiding us in truth and righteousness.

Confession

Lord, forgive us for the times we live as though we belong to ourselves instead of to You. Forgive us when we ignore Your leading or fail to honor You with our thoughts, words, and actions.

Thanksgiving

Thank You for purchasing us through the sacrifice of Jesus and filling us with Your Spirit. Thank You that through Your Spirit we are born again and welcomed into the family of God.

Supplication

Holy Spirit, help us become more aware of Your presence within us each day. Empower us to honor God with our lives and to follow wherever You lead, trusting You even when we cannot see the path ahead.
